Why are Balene bristles different? What material is it?

Balene’s new generation Tyflex bristles are made of an elastomer that has the following characteristics:

1.) It is an effective material for plaque removal and respectful with soft tissues.

2.) It is hydrophobic, which means that it does not retain moisture and therefore prevents bacterial proliferation. In addition to this, to guarantee a higher safety profile, in its injection process we embed an additive that eliminates 99.9% of the bacteria that could inhabit on the bristles of the toothbrush.

3.) Our bristles maintain a constant 45º brushing angle for a more effective plaque removal at the gum line.

What are the differences between Balene and a conventional toothbrush?

Balene should not be compared to the conventional toothbrush. Why?

1. It is the first toothbrush that cleans the internal surface of the teeth for you. You delegate the brushing to the instrument and not to the attention span or the time you have.

2. Its new generation bristles eliminate 99.9% of bacteria that inhabit the bristles of the toothbrush.

3. Its bristles last twice vs. conventional brushes.

Yes

Yes

Why do my gums bleed the first few days of using Balene?

This is normal for the first few brushings using Balene. Our bristles are angled at 45º, so that they pass through the gum line dragging the plaque. If you have plaque buildup when you first start using Balene, the brushing may result in bleeding as it is cleaning the nooks and crannies you couldn’t reach before. Do not worry, because after a few uses this will stop happening.

Why does the toothbrush get stuck in the back teeth?

This is part of the learning curve you will have with Balene and it will stop happening as you use the brush. We recommend that you open your mouth slightly and push the brush in without fear. You will be picking up the pace of this new method of brushing and soon it will reach all corners.

The toothbrush has two slits on the sides. There you should apply the paste.

The size of a sunflower seed at each end. Remember that you should not use more paste than the one you use with the conventional brush, it is simply divided into the two sides.

Insert your fingers between the bristles while rinsing with plenty of water. Do this after each brushing, don’t let the paste build up

How long should my brushing last with Balene?

Balene is designed so that, with the average time spent by the common population (between 40 and 55 seconds), maximum efficiency is obtained.

How much time does the learning curve take?

We like to say that the learning curve is 3 days and the truth is that we exaggerate a bit. You’ll feel comfortable with Balene’s cleaning method as soon as you get used to the type of movement (it’s just swiping from right to left). In most cases, people get used to it by the second or third time they use the brush.
